Beautiful banner, how did you create such a thing?

I had the picture on my computer already, so I cropped it down in Picasa (google's image program) and hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button to get it to make the colors look more normal, then I opened up the image in Paint (yes, I'm so high tech) and scrawled "hungryknitter" on it with the paint brush.
